To strengthen and encourage our Fuller Center Covenant Partners and to expand the work of this new ministry through a physical and spiritual journey to remember.

The words “strengthen and encourage” are used repeatedly in the book of Acts when Paul, Peter, Silas, Barnabas (whose name actually means “Son of Encouragement”), and others traveled around to visit many of the early Christian churches.

As part of an organization less than three years old, many of our Covenant Partners doing local projects are just beginning to sprout and grow. They need some fertilizer!

Like the early apostles, our role this summer will be to strengthen and encourage these new groups and to help plant new ones. We will do it by biking, building, speaking, and encouraging, and we will make a difference.

To grow in faith and wisdom
As we strengthen and encourage others, we will find that Christ is strengthening and encouraging us, pushing us to heights we did not know that we could reach. Our approximately 40 days of biking are an opportunity to make this a personal spiritual journey as we do God's work in serving our fellow man.

To spread the word about The Fuller Center
We will help bring media attention to the 10 or more Fuller Center projects we will ride through, and we will introduce The Fuller Center to many more communities needing its ministry.

To raise money for the work
Each cross-country rider is asked to raise at least $4,000 to be designated to The Fuller Center project of their choice, domestic or international. Contributions will be collected along the route as well as from other riders who join us for parts of the trip.

In addition, others will be joining us for parts of the ride, and at least one of the local Fuller Center Covenant Partners will be organizing a local 1 day ride to join us as we go through.

To start new groups
We will encounter many communities struggling with housing issues as we ride, especially with the current foreclosure and housing crisis. Our mortgage rates are 0% - locked in forever! We seek to empower communities to respond with action and love.
